Author, fantasy worldbuilding guy, not a doctor

I like editing in big blocks because you see how many times you repeat ideas in adjacent chapters. Those ideas may indeed need to be hit hard, and those chapters may have been written weeks apart, but seeing them again and again is always eye opening.

Second day back on the heavy bag and my 8yo wanted to join me. I told him he could hit during my rest periods. It devolved into him throwing an origami ninja star at it, and honestly, that's better than I expected.

First time back on the heavy bag in at least 18 months and I think I acquitted myself well. 10 2-minute rounds with a minute between. My hope is to move back to 8 3-minute rounds. We'll see what my elbows say about that. How I get golfer's elbow from boxing I'll never know.

Perhaps because I took their name in vain today, Bulgarian split squats came up in my workout today and humbled me badly. Supposed to be eight round of six: BSS, kettle clean press, hang snatch, ring push ups in 40 min. I quit at 20 with four sets done. Still sweating an hour later.

I'm running a sale on my little urban fantasy series in honor of Self Published Author Appreciation Week, so go grab some weird mystical murder mysteries on the cheap. Think The Magicians meets Knives Out. #spaaw

Five ebooks from the Inner Circle series: Rites of Passage, Ghost Stations, Electric City Switches, Creature Comforts, and Are You In. The first three are $.99 during July 20-26, while the fourth is out Oct 29th, and the final one is free.

The movie I developed is finally out on Netflix. Huzzah! If you want some insanity injected directly into your eyeholes you should check out Per Aspera Ad Astra today!

A grinning dude (me) holding a poster for the movie Per Aspera Ad Astra. The name Matthew Douglas Presley (me!) as a writer from the movie poster.
