I seriously doubt the Democratic party has learned anything from how the banks betrayed them.
After bailouts of banks after 2008 and crypto firms in 2023, those entities repaid their kindness by surging money to defeat Democrats. It's something to remember if Democrats are in place when AI needs a bailout. From our friends at @revolvingdoordc.bsky.social. prospect.org/2026/08/13/a...

Now that they realize that they have squandered their munitions Hegseth and company are freaking out.
The Pentagon is asking the U.S. defense industry to rapidly escalate the production and delivery of weapons, including munitions that are in extreme shortage due to the war with Iran, according to a Defense Department memo obtained by The WashingtonPost. www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2...
They're just coming right out and saying it. When body camera footage makes them look bad, no one sees it. When it serves a proagandistic purpose, everyone sees it.
ICE is planning to make sure field agents have body cams by the end of September. But its policy to only release footage that is in the agency’s “best interest” means taxpayers may be paying millions for cameras without benefitting from their oversight. apnews.com/article/ice-...

Today's Alt #BirdOfTheDay theme is #ShadesofPurple - any tone, hue or tint of purple on a bird's plumage. I immediately thought of the under-appreciated European Starling. In the right light, it has *all the colors* 🪶
Marty’s photo of the day #5131: During the 30 years Deb and I have lived at the Essen Wildlife Refuge, we’ve often heard nighthawks, but only after dark, and if we saw them they were just a flash in the forest. This year is different. Two weeks ago . . . (Tap ALT for full text.) #birds #photography
Congratulations to @justinjpearson.bsky.social on this huge win for working people in TN-09 and voters demanding a new generation of leadership! The future of the Democratic Party belongs to leaders like Justin who are willing to challenge the status quo and fight for working families.
