Life’s a paradox for me, though I know God will provide. Yes, I moderated an Essence panel and was on the news talking about great restaurants to visit w/a press trip soon! No, I dunno how I'll pay my $1,500 rent and utilities during this work dry spell. God has kept me though, and always will.

Guess what?! I'm going to meet the mayor of Donaldsonville tomorrow! Fun fact: One of my great-great grandfathers, Pierre Caliste Landry, was one the mayor of Donaldsonville and the first Black elected mayor in the United States. I think that's neat. Excited to pick up some of their local papers.

TBH most of these local media outlets shouldn't be reporting on the schools, because they are sponsoring their events etc. Since they are, they don't dig deep at all. Thank God for Lamplighter! She gets the scoop frfr.
