I cannot speak to the context that inspires this: But a pox on people saying our faculty are in this for some kind of ideological grift like them. They just love teaching and seeing the light shine when students learn. I’m so sick of the libel against them. 1/2
they want to humiliate you. it's not enough that you have to knuckle under. they need you to feel bad and resign yourself to this system. they won't even let you take out a loan to do something that might have value that can't be measured in money.

It’s all so similar across the pond; the ideological underpinnings are identical. Walmart unis for the wc sourced by precarious non researchers, with a few real experts at select elite institutions. Research across the arts will suffer and the diversity of research across all fields too.

I feel like (hope that) shame is returning to the discourse. May it rest heavy on those in the admin wings across this nation every day until McCarthy II electric boogaloo is over. Then those who complied or stayed silent can opt out of the profession. This all continues to be disgraceful.

Plaintiffs American Association of University Professors ("AAUP"), on behalf of
its members in the Texas A&M University System ("Texas A&M"), and individually named member professors Leonard Bright, Vanita Reddy, Landon Sadler, and Aaron George (collectively, "Plaintiffs") challenge Texas A&M System Policy ("System Policy") 08.01's prohibition on teaching "gender and race ideology, or topics related to sexual orientation, and gender identity" in academic coursework (the "Censorship Policy" or the "Policy").
On its face, the Censorship Policy imposes a complete prohibition, in all core-
curriculum courses, on courses "advocat[ing]" particular disfavored views of race or gender, or
