I called WHYY in Philadelphia. The person I spoke to agreed that it was damaging and not in line with WHYY's mission, and logged my complaint. The Philly number is 215-351-0511 if you're in the area.
I called WNET in NY to ask them to remove this video. I told them it was damaging to kids. You can call them, too! Call 212-560-1313 and press 2 to leave a message (the phone prompt seems to indicate 1, but that message directs you to 2). ny.pbslearningmedia.org/resource/ruf...

Andean Space Agency Some "incafuturism" this week, combining my interest in space and my Incan roots. This illustration is based on a cover of a century-old Peruvian magazine called Amauta. #Space #Peru #WeeklyTshirt #Inca #Andes danielsolis.threadless.com/designs/ande...
Patching and reinforcing my favorite canvas, Pure-Moods-ass (aka excellent) tote bag I bought in ~1996 which weirdly gets tons of compliments these days, but was starting to get little holes everywhere
I might have gotten a LITTLE stuck between the planes, but on the way out I helped this dude brush his teeth so well that some of his teeth fell out (it's okay, I stuck them back on)

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful
there are SO MANY to choose from. And vaccines are right there... Little thing: I regularly bless the ability to access a free weather radar map. I can see a thunderstorm path down to my street level. Miracle stuff
I like this brainstorm: greatest achievements since 1969. Number one for me: eradicating smallpox What else?

Thank God we have the New York Times to keep farm reporting on the straight & narrow
They responded with "Ok... so we don't know enough about ag to make any sense of who these clients are. "But still! We JUST KNOW you've got to be on someone's diabolical payroll!" and cancelled the op-ed anyway.
The funniest part is before cancelling it, they demanded a list of all my clients. Because SURELY there was some conflict of interest that was causing me to say such a thing. So I sent them my full client list.
Yeah so NYT asked me ~2 yrs ago to write an op-ed about how the Colorado is running dry, & what we should do to keep this exact thing from happening. I said "There's only one real answer. Bill farmers by how much water they use. Duh." NYT editorial staff freaked tf out & cancelled the piece.
saw an article today about an az politician saying how great it was that we're now in emergency drought conditions because the farmers get automatic bailouts and I feel like way more Professional Rural Understanders just breeze by sentences like that. www.paysonroundup.com/news/arizona...
One wolf will punish anyone who did not directly contribute to the experiment's creation. Every part of this experiment has been replaced, so it may not be the same experiment. The box falls in the forest, but no one is around to hear it. The wolves see only shadows projected on the wall of the box.
There are two wolves. One always lies. One controls the lever of trolley track. They're in a state of superposition inside a box. On the trolley are infinite monkeys at infinite typewriters going to an infinite hotel. The trolley must first travel halfway, but before that a quarterway, and so on...
