I have two of the old CD editions but need the others.
the drums can be traced back to their origin in Benin Similar drums, played using a similar technique are used for the Rada rites of Haitian Voodoo

Adam Serwer@adamserwer.bsky.social · 2w agoIt is genuinely bizarre that we’ve become acclimatized to right wingers throwing a tantrum every time a black person (particularly a black woman) is cast in something, but are also supposed to pretend that this is not racism but related to some other substantive concern.
when asked if he’s against Islam he responds “I’m against rape & murder” smdh is he really unaware that Black & Native Americans (never mind South African natives) can testify to many “Christian” examples of both?

I know that the logic here is that humanities degrees are worthless. But this is also an implicit dis to people like me who don’t have degrees- the assumption is we shouldn’t be making more money than people who finished school

I once put “dedicated parking for tricycles” on a rider when a lot of band member kids were out and sure enough they mocked up a little area with balloons near the band rooms and labeled it “tricycle parking”. I was very impressed
My favorite rider was Swans - it was emphatic that the show would be painfully loud, that no, they wouldn’t reduce the volume, and if you liked your staff you’d provide them with ear protection
