it's also weird to me because the appeal has always been a mixture of "wow this is cool" and "some madman did it" now the cool factor is heavily diminished because there are so many of these now, and it's not like there's any real technical skill behind any of them

Super Mario Galaxy on PS2. a comically stupid idea. but if it was a human doing it i'd be inclined to laugh and have respect. when it's Claude doing it it kind of just remains stupid, no?

Yeah people are spreading this one around and kind of blowing it out of proportion, its from 2024 and the dork the articles about even says "Yeah i coulda used google!" Like don't get me wrong it causes some suspicion but not that much.
I find the article to be a tiny bit misleading. Though fuck chatgpt and all that ai bs. The guy found a existing algorithm by using chatgpt as a search engine. To me, that is just stupid because search engines are literally right there. The article comes off as vibecoding in the game.
