These are worrying times for the world, so here's one of my favourite photos, taken long ago on a Canon bridge camera - a lizard sitting on a rock in the desert, standing out against the darker shades of a rock overhead; it would blend into the rocks if viewed from above.

A picture is worth 1000 words... This appeared on the BBC News today, showing the increase in solar electric generation in the UK. Not sure who produced it, but genuinely think this is a genius piece of scientific communication - the construct and choice of colour scale is near-perfect. Chapeau!

It's not uncommon for data modellers to be asked to create a data model from some real-world data or from some form of data artefact, such as JSON or XML. Most of the initial effort required is the tool-specific operations. Following on from last Friday's post, does the ER/Studio AI agent help?

ER/Studio’s new AI engine – an update

It's not uncommon for data modellers to be asked to create a data model from some real-world data or from some form of data artefact, such as JSON or XML. Most of the initial effort required is the tool-specific keyboard and mouse operations. How good is this AI agent at reducing the time this initial effort takes?

If Mr. Johnson knows the assassin's identity and what their motivation was, then maybe he should contact the FBI. If he doesn't, then perhaps he should shut up rather than stirring up fear and loathing. Grossly irresponsible

The murder of Charlie Kirk is a tragedy,
and a sign of the utter desperation
and cowardice of those who could
not defeat him in argument. Charlie
Kirk has been killed not for espousing
extremist views - because he didn't.
He has been killed for saying things
that used to be simple common sense
He has been killed because he had
the courage to stand up publicly for
reasonable opinions held by millions
and millions of ordinary people both
in the US and Britain. The world has a
shining new martyr to free speech

Our thoughts and prayers are with his
family and loved ones.
