Yesterday I learned that one of my sprites from 2003, this dragon I described in my gallery as "requested" (almost certainly on the PokéMasters forums), is apparently legendary in Italy as a Pokégod, "Luxor", supposedly found in FireRed and LeafGreen: web.archive.org/web/20050128...

finally managed to catch one of my dream shinies!!! my 23543rd encounter for this phase was this icon, ch'tilly the farfetch'd ❤️ my longest phase for a shiny ever - and caught in a love ball too!! #shinypokemon
friday thoughts: I think it's important that shiny hunters be vocal about and continue to recommend accessible hunting options like emulation and/or flashcarts for newer folks looking to get into the hobby but think they are unable to due to the high cost of games/equipment they see most ppl use
I did a new Yellow playthrough from scratch for my Mew trick article’s screenshots/additional research and I just love this game so much. Modern QoL is nice and all but genuinely, the originals are so worth playing. There’s a reason they rewrote all our brains.

the way people talk about red and blue you’d think they’d be unplayable, as if they didn’t get played millions of times by children and adults alike in the 90’s without a problem. if you do a normal playthrough, it’s just a game. things are pretty normal actually.

the whole RB recomp thing is so gross to me but it’s a little funny seeing people get mad about the HD2D art style meanwhile i am playing (and enjoying) octopath traveler for the first time this week anyway there’s much bigger problems with the project than its art style which is a nothingburger

shiny nidoran male in the kanto safari zone after 5428 encounters for #safariweek!!! it feels so good to be back! i’m so relieved i caught it, this japanese firered has seen multiple shinies but never caught any until now haha. and somehow it’s adamant nature?? i might have to evolve it!
got back to back 1% encounters in safari week. 1/10000. rarer than a shiny. fuck my little baby life
