Nobuo Uematsu made a lot of amazing music, but the vast majority of time he was tasked with composing a theme for a female party member he leaned really hard on a wistful tone. Just trying to land somewhere between pleasant and bittersweet. Freya and Lulu might be the strongest exceptions.
