the best fight in hathaway so far was the one where Hathaway was carrying around Gigi like a football trying not to get stepped on or splashed by plasma or crushed by falling buildings. That moment really sold how scary mobile suit fights are FOR PEOPLE NOT IN THE MOBILE SUITS.

Why does the Penelope look like a guy wearing a mascot chicken suit? All of the fights are unreadable (even the fighters don't know where each other are). It's just so beyond sauceless. The fights are just so, so bad.

The problem is that I think Hathaway is some of the most interesting personal drama in like, most Gundams, because Hathaway Noa is a full grown adult with fully developed politics and a history with people and the world... and the mobile suit fights are so fucking bad

i think i would be much more interested in harvest moon gaming again if so many of the games didnt tack on half assed combat systems that are mandatory for some reason stardew is particularly bad about this. you gotta go into the mines to get ore, and thus interact with a fuck ass combat system
