The occupation of the intersection is neither a safe nor sustainable. It cannot make the independent investigation move faster or change state law. It is distracting from rather than supporting the dialogue that needs to happen to make lasting change. It is deeply harming the Marquette neighborhood.

I wish more journalists would point out that Sen. McConnell and Rep. Tom Kean (missed 4 months of work) are/were essentially on paid sick & medical leave. The same employment protection they’ve spent their careers blocking other Americans from having.

My nurse mom around that time helped found the EMT squad in our small town and my brother grew up to be a big-city firefighter. “Emergency” made a difference.

The bad news is that aluminum recycling rates in the US have inexplicably declined significantly. We stopped promoting and facilitating recycling even the easiest thing to recycle. Hopefully CVS and beverage packagers restart recycling awareness messaging at some point soon.

In states where you can drop off your completed absentee/mail ballot at your polling station….it makes a lot of sense! Peace of mind and (at least in Wisconsin) no waiting in lines.

Imagine if a woman president crashed the economy and started a war with no end in sight, and her biggest, seemingly ONLY concern was building a ballroom and redecorating the White House.
