Roberts will author the opinion, joined by Barrett, Sotomayor, Kagan, and Jackson. Thomas will dissent, joined by Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, and whoever replaces Alito.

Numbers matter. District 2 seems more conservative than it is because it skews older and rural. MAGA fans also, by and large, never shut up. In 2022, when Paul LePage ran against Janet Mills, he only won 50%-48% of the Governor race. He's definitely beatable especially in a good turnout year.
