I grew up in Katoomba until mid year-two. In 2.5 years of school there I vividly remember heavy snow falls that, at least twice, meant school was cancelled for a day or two. Makeshift toboggans, snow-ball fights, confused pets, frozen toes & snow men with gumnut eyes. Not so long ago, but no more.
