Has something happened in the last two days to break mailchimp's bot countermeasures for newsletter signups? Also, why are bots signing random hacked email accounts up for a newsletter? I don't even understand the scam.

0 for 3 today trying to get access to a european cultural institution's open API without having to email support (cloudflare bot challenge blocking one, API key signup page 404 another, and just no way to do it for the third)
