I was not expecting this AP article to go so hard but I’m loving it 😂
BREAKING NEWS: Billionaire class who’s been pulling strings all along to kill Beltline rail finally goes mask off. Alex Taylor, CEO of Cox, writes in his OWN newspaper that he thinks he understands the needs of working Atlantans better than they do. www.ajc.com/opinion/2026...
Future of Atlanta Beltline hangs in the balance. Trains are not the answer.
The Atlanta Beltline was envisioned as a place for trails, parks and transit. The first two made this jewel a success, but the third needs to evolve to 21st century solutions.

Gonna spend the next two years spamming every elected Dem about the concept of "damnatio memoriae." Chisel his name off every inscription. Build over the various Trump Towers like they're Nero's Golden House. Remove him from physical memory, not to forget but as a sign of disrespect to the man.
The seven-member body, whose ranks are composed of Trump appointees, was expected to approve the arch. The proposed monument strongly resembles Paris' Arc de Triomphe, but almost 100 feet taller. n.pr/3O5czfK
Andre Dickens is so embarrassing, an absolutely unserious mayor, just truly unbelievable.
Like seriously, my mayor is helping ICE lie to the press at the world's busiest airport, and we don't even have a print paper in the city anymore: @neonflag.bsky.social told me that ICE has been inside Georgia State University two blocks from City Hall, and not a peep from this monster.
Andre Dickens is so embarrassing, an absolutely unserious mayor, just truly unbelievable.
Not a joke: Andre Dickens' first act as Mayor was personally intervening on behalf of a property developer to remove a state-funded shared street, which led to drivers killing two elderly pedestrians. When confronted by residents he immediately directed ATLDOT to *scrub* a faded mid-block crossing.

Before I had finished reading this review, I’d traded in my 11” M4 iPad Pro for a MacBook Neo. Doesn’t really matter how powerful the iPad is when what I really want is for it to work like a Mac.

My mom came to visit and is giving me 200% more information than I want about Meta building a private solar farm in my hometown that has the (ultra-MAGA) citizens up in arms because local government won’t stop it. The “conservative” movement is dead. I just thought it would more enjoyable.
Really hard to look at this and all the other examples of bravery and kindness from ordinary people in this moment not think also of the tremendous cowardice exhibited over the past year by some of the richest, most well-protected people in business, media and politics
Let us all have the courage displayed by the residents of Minneapolis.
The cops in Grand Theft Auto — games that celebrate and reward gratuitous violence — are better-trained and more restrained than these ICE goons.
Imagine going to this screening on a night like this one. The blood of an American civilian runs on a Minneapolis street. These people have no shame.
On tonight’s White House agenda: Trump and guests will get a private screening of MELANIA, the documentary about the First Lady, @thr.com reports. Attendees include Apple CEO Tim Cook, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy, Mike Tyson, per the article.
This is appalling. I can say with certainty that Steve Jobs would be ashamed of Tim Cook at this terrible moment, one of many these days, and he has sullied the last year of his tenure and the Apple brand by his craven need to please shareholders over holding onto some basic values of decency.
Man, I used to be so proud of Tim Cook. This dude grew up 20 miles away and 20 years ahead of me. There was a time I thought I was following in his footsteps. Fuck him. Fuck trump, fuck *gestures wildly* all of this.
Not only have promises been broken around the execution of More MARTA & beltline rail, but these decisions are happening behind closed doors, far away from public view or criticism. We need transparency from MARTA, the Beltline, and our City govt. Uphold the More MARTA referendum and get to work! 🚊
Unbeknownst to the public, a small group of officials from the city of Atlanta, the Atlanta Beltline and MARTA voted to stop all work on the Eastside Beltline light rail project more than six months ago: www.ajc.com/news/2026/01...
My mom wanted to watch the Vatican midnight mass but I don’t pay for YouTube premium, so we’ve watched about 6 Zaxby’s ads so far.
Apple CEO Tim Cook used to quote MLK and fight for human rights. Today he dines at the White House with MBS, who ordered the death of a journalist. What happened to you, Tim?
The people of Atlanta would like to learn more about this “not having an awful Democratic mayor” thing I keep hearing about
Veteran reporter Maria Saporta comes out with a scathing op-ed against Mayor Andre Dickens: "When Andre Dickens was elected mayor in November 2021, I was filled with optimism and hope for the future of Atlanta. [...] Today, I feel betrayed. And I’m not alone." saportareport.com/atlanta-must...

"It didn’t feel like a platform which one had to upkeep and align to one’s real world persona... For most, it was a personal space—a blog—that one could always return to at any time. There are no expiry dates on always." I loved reading this about my beloved @tumblr.com. vogue.sg/tumblr-era-o...
Welcome back to weird. I'm back in my Tumblr era—and I've never felt more at home
The time I went back to reclaim my little corner of the Internet on the beloved social blogging platform we all know as Tumblr.

This was the most interesting thing about the game imho
New Fox chyron is excellent. Team names: huge. Score: huge. Logos: none. Colors say enough. Needless chrome: none. Timeouts remaining: prominent but not distracting. Down and yards to go indicator: conveys which team has the ball. Typography: classic, legible, bold, timeless. Outstanding design.
Hate it for the Boise State coach but I think Jesus has money on Penn State
I have the flu for the first time in like 20 years, so I’m spending a lot of time wondering why the hell the seal on a bottle of Pedialyte is so strong? Is it important to make it harder to open than a bottle of liquor? Or drain cleaner?
I’m basically paying for phone service so one person can call me at this point
