Andre Dickens is so embarrassing, an absolutely unserious mayor, just truly unbelievable.
Like seriously, my mayor is helping ICE lie to the press at the world's busiest airport, and we don't even have a print paper in the city anymore: @neonflag.bsky.social told me that ICE has been inside Georgia State University two blocks from City Hall, and not a peep from this monster.

Not a joke: Andre Dickens' first act as Mayor was personally intervening on behalf of a property developer to remove a state-funded shared street, which led to drivers killing two elderly pedestrians. When confronted by residents he immediately directed ATLDOT to *scrub* a faded mid-block crossing.

My mom came to visit and is giving me 200% more information than I want about Meta building a private solar farm in my hometown that has the (ultra-MAGA) citizens up in arms because local government won’t stop it. The “conservative” movement is dead. I just thought it would more enjoyable.
Really hard to look at this and all the other examples of bravery and kindness from ordinary people in this moment not think also of the tremendous cowardice exhibited over the past year by some of the richest, most well-protected people in business, media and politics

This is appalling. I can say with certainty that Steve Jobs would be ashamed of Tim Cook at this terrible moment, one of many these days, and he has sullied the last year of his tenure and the Apple brand by his craven need to please shareholders over holding onto some basic values of decency.
Man, I used to be so proud of Tim Cook. This dude grew up 20 miles away and 20 years ahead of me. There was a time I thought I was following in his footsteps. Fuck him. Fuck trump, fuck *gestures wildly* all of this.
Not only have promises been broken around the execution of More MARTA & beltline rail, but these decisions are happening behind closed doors, far away from public view or criticism. We need transparency from MARTA, the Beltline, and our City govt. Uphold the More MARTA referendum and get to work! 🚊
