Auditioned for an audio book yesterday. I will probably only do 1 audition a day until I get picked. Maybe more if I get better at it I'll do multiple, but I had to do multiple takes and it took awhile to get through it. The audio settings are different, so I had to tinker around with it.

I don't care what excuse (it's not a reason, it's an excuse) as to why someone is apolitical. They're still complying. They're privileged and selfish in some sort of way, but most importantly, they're siding with fascism. One cannot stay silent and expect things to change.

I'm not surprised there are VTubers whose models are Black, but they're not Black IRL. I grew up playing IMVU; some people who had Black avatars were not Black IRL. They always want to look like us but don't want the experience of what it's like being us. Digital Blackface is indeed a thing.

Black people are allowed to feel how they feel about people doing some type of blackface. It's dehumanizing. It's the fact they don't care or see Black people as people that's messed up. Our skin tones aren't costumes and there's a deep history to our skin tones.

The conversation regarding white people with dark skin VTubers. Reminds me a lot of white cosplayers who darken their skin. I see the same justification for both. I learned from the cosplay community. That it's better to block these people and not give them attention.

I'm so tired of seeing streamers go I love what I do but I'm not getting paid. I see my community shrinking everyday on Twitch and it makes me so sad. People being forced into jobs they hate or being unemployed bc they can't access paid work by billionaire platforms & it's infuriating.

Casual racism is a trip. Just going about my day and I hear someone talking about a "romantic interest" by ethnicity, as if they're talking about a pokemon sighting. Read something like "x's are so.." like?? Do yall hear yourself? Like at all??
