Hi everyone, today me and 22 others at Double Fine were hit by layoffs today. All the people who lost their jobs today care so much about the games they make and the people they work with. If anyone is looking for a tools SE with 7 years of experience and who brings baked goods on Mondays lmk.

I’m only going to say this once: Many of my close friends and colleagues are STILL at ZA/UM. They are people who deserve your support too, now of ALL times. Zero Parades is a great game, and I am incredibly proud of it. Frankly, if you care about me, the number one thing you can do is PLAY IT.

Axel is an incredible, brilliant writer and a person that I am honored to call one of my best friends. They make any place better to be, and they will make any story 10x funnier, smarter, and more heartbreaking. Also, great beard. Really can’t undersell the beard.

I'm one of the folks affected. *Many* on the list are gifted; their work was crucial to the weird little miracle that is ZP. Please, consider hiring them. Dust is still settling on my end, but my inbox is open.

A lot of my colleagues are out of a job now, too. This is a really awful time to be looking for a new position in the games industry, and I'm going to be boosting their signals as much as possible. They are all phenomenally talented, lovely people, and you should snap them up *immediately*.

I am now OPEN TO WORK. I've been told I'm a pleasure to have in class, and also that I bring a kind of 'major freak who can also make you cry' energy to the writer's room. I can neither confirm nor deny that I was the reason we had to eventually make a 'No More Puns' rule on ZP.

Unfortunately, I've been informed that my job is one of those being made redundant in the layoffs at the studio today. This has been an insanely creative, talented, and kind group of people, and I am going to miss my friends terribly.

Look. Superbloc, Baby is an all-time banger. Absolute bop of the summer. You guys may not be ready for it yet but your kids are gonna love it.

🎶 They try to regulate me... but it's ALL Superbloc, baby! Performed by Black Fox Leash, made up of brothers Alex Ryan and Patrick Ryan (our Lead Writer on #ZEROPARADES: For Dead Spies). Stream the Original Game Soundtrack now on YouTube, Apple Music & Spotify: ▶️ tr.ee/zpsoundtrack

i cannot implore you enough to use respiratory protection that *really works* for what you’re facing. yes, the best mask is the mask you’ll wear, but when conditions are this bad, know that not all tools are created equal. if you can access something better and are able to wear it, it’s worth it.

Underneath the title it says:

I feel like there should maybe be more coverage of the fact that NOAA is forecasting the AQI in Cleveland will be 296 tomorrow and 365 on Friday. That's worse than June 2023.
