Never any reason to treat it as anything more than a conspiracy theory. It’s shameful that so many publications didn’t see the clear disinformation campaign.
Girl, same. When I used to be on Facebook, I had so many people private messaging me about their LC (I'm a therapist.) They were not posting about it publicly. Many of these people knew each other, yet they all swear they don't know anyone who has long COVID, and *they* have Anything But Long COVID.

First of all - Wearing one condom does protect you from HIV, as a well-fit respirator does from COVID!

tough to keep engaging with the very real ongoing concerns SARS2 presents when you'd prefer not to have to do the mitigation behaviors because they are hard 🥲 much easier if those sick people are just annoying.

The refusal to learn is one thing, but the dismissal of reality is another. Long Covid is too painful, too common & too present in many people’s lives to be denied. The story is hard to rewrite.

babs ✨@itsbabs.bsky.social · 3w agoi cannot implore you enough to use respiratory protection that *really works* for what you’re facing. yes, the best mask is the mask you’ll wear, but when conditions are this bad, know that not all tools are created equal. if you can access something better and are able to wear it, it’s worth it.

I guess while everyone is airing their pandemic grievances I’ll add that as a nurse, the most traumatic thing about the pandemic for me was the lack of appropriate PPE and the denial of airborne spread that STILL happens in healthcare

babs ✨@itsbabs.bsky.social · last wk.i hate to say that it is true that peter navarro had a huge stockpile of hydroxychloroquine. i'm not sure that, with the available info, i can confirm the exact quantities—esp bc sometimes they refer to "doses" vs "pills" which, imo, can be different amounts—but he's not given this up for a reason.
I had to code and pronounce a time of death on a respiratory therapist colleague. There's a memorial plaque for her outside the emergency department to this day. I wrote and re-wrote my will. I will never forgive these ghouls trying to rewrite history and deny our experience.

Literally anything you make is better than ai. There’s never been a better time to throw away your fear and start learning that craft you’ve always wanted to learn.
