Ah man, this looks fabulous; a whole night of @paulheatonsolo.bsky.social. The opening of Hugh on the bike in London 0 Hull 4 is worth the ticket price alone.

Since BBC Sounds was blocked we’ve had to wait a month in Australia to hear our Norm on Desert Island Discs so I’m delighted that it left such a warm and fuzzy feeling. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

Loving the Kylie documentary but feel robbed that we are already up to the hot pants after just 2 episodes. So many Kylie memories in the 1990s for those who stuck with her. I bloody loved Indie Kylie, no matter how much people talk her down now. Some Kind of Bliss is amongst her very best.

True. Gen X Australians have a surprisingly deep connection with the Goodies in a way I didn’t understand until I moved here. My wife and her friends can recite entire episodes in the same way Brits do with Blackadder and Python. We went to a Goodies reunion in Sydney in 2005 and it was wild.
The UK never repeated The Goodies like the ABC here did. It was so awesome to see them come here and be treated like the rock stars they were. 40 yr old women going gaga over them. Including me. I adored Bill, including the whole birding thing. Met him twice. He let me kiss his cheek & was so sweet.

This whole ‘Indie Forever’ thing on 6 Music feels like when they used to tell kids that the ageing pet dog had gone to live on a farm.
