In other Michigan news, the state looks set to elect it's first transgender lawmaker. Joanna Whaley won her Democratic primary and will compete in November for a state house seat, beating a primary opponent who tried and failed to disqualify her for not running under her deadname

It's really baffling how groups like AIPAC can spend $30M on a Senate *PRIMARY* thinking they are doing something better than say...using all the money to actually help people who need it and lift them up directly instead of trying to shape a country in their image for only their benefit.

It's cool losing 30lbs (with maybe another 10-20 to go) and still having that negative body image...really goes back to being made fun of as a school kid. But I think that way of thinking is going away a bit. We'll see how it goes.
