It is a human superpower to enjoy small, even silly things at times of war and other disasters. Should work for this collapse too. Use it. We need nice things. Inexpensive, silly, fun things. It doesn't mean that we don't care about the catastrophe. It means we're still alive.

I overexplain. I have this deep rooted fear that nobody understands me, so I repeat and justify, and give arguments when I should just say it is what it is and then answer questions if they arise. I know it's a trauma response.

As a writer I completely disagree. Books have benefits for cognition, imagination and language skills, but in no way people who don't read or never did lack empathy. Love books, but this is too much. We need stories. Any format counts. #booksky

When I grew up, I never heard "I'm tired of...". Maybe I'm misremembering, but I knew English good enough to notice. People plainly said "I don't like...". It's like everyone got tired or we aren't allowed to dislike things? But we sure can hate them. No middle ground. Tired or hate.
I have to admit all I knew about Dolly was that she was a good person who did charity and how she looked. I didn't even know she was a singer. Those are goals. We have so many evil people making fantastic art, literature, music. This is different.

I want social media back. Real social media. Raw and real. Not everyone selling an image of themselves and usually something in addition. Business pages posing as private. None of that shit. You could say - I write books, here's the link, but overall it was socialization. Real. Fucking. Connection.
I am afab. For a long while not a single person knew I was on the trans spectrum. I was called dude and bro, and everything male, especially if they didn't know who I was. I got those "but that's gender neutral." Then why is nothing vaguely female neutral? Because it hurts male egos.
