Needing some help. My wife was admitted to the hospital for a stomach condition; my ability to work is scanty but need to raise some funds before our car gets repossessed (8/7) and our internet canceled (8/10); if anyone has anything to spare it would be most helpful 💙 ___ ko-fi.com/riendonut/go...
While the SCREEN Act failed in the committee, KOSA did move forward. Contact your senators immediately demanding it be opposed, and keep the pressure up until it comes to a vote in the Senate
The Senate Commerce Committee just passed KOSA out of committee with zero debate & failed to move the SCREEN Act. punchbowl.news/article/tech...
I've seen a lot of things where people are like, "RFK is just promoting healthy eating," and it's amazing what branding can do, because as far as I've seen, the main dietary things that RFK has pushed are the importance of eating fast food fried in a particular animal fat and drinking raw milk.
I'm calling it: "Start smoking" is going to be mainstream MAHA / Republican health advice by 2028. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
petty, maybe, but it always gets me, a person with adhd and aphantasia that would never use ai, when people claim adhd and aphantasia is the reason they *need* these in their life no, you're just a mark
In a videogame roleplay server I'm in they just banned AI and this person flipped out, saying that because of her ADHD she needed it to manage her whole life and it turned out she had even been making her *tiny* game posts with it too! Then she called it her friend. Terrifying shit. She ragequit
The SCREEN Act just failed to pass in the Senate Commerce Committee! 🎉 Enormous thanks to the thousands (!!) of you who told your Senators to vote no! Your voice matters and you should feel good that you made a difference. Obviously, the fight isn't over, but this was an important victory.
SCREEN Act, which would have required mandatory age-verification for sites (like this) that allow "material harmful to minors" failed to pass out of committee after thousands and thousands of people called their Senators. More work ahead!

You know with how easy it is to bribe the government right now, you'd think big pharma could just bribe the government into accepting vaccines again...

"We might *gulp* have a Muslim president!" They say this like a Muslim didn't outright admit that he is perfectly fine with the law saying he can't be president. They're genuinely just making up scenarios to be afraid of.
JD Vance: "We don't want the next administration, whoever -- god forbid you're gonna have President El-Sayed in three years ... "
My answer is LOL ROFL (dickbrain) The terminally AI-pilled can't even *imagine* some people have *never* asked stochastic parrots to cheat at their job for them.
[OC] Played in a Daggerheart one shot this weekend and this was my character ~ Inquisitor Steinhäger, a Satyr Guardian. She is a huge fan of the new Pontiff and is here in name of the church to solve a mystery and help the locals! 🐐☀️📕
This is what people mean by AI is theft. Someone I know later found out an artist (16k followers) they got a commision from uses AI and now they don't have funds to commish me or another artist they like. Not only does the slop machine steal art, these scammers directly steal work from real artists
This is what gets me about AI. It's contaminating so many things, nobody's disclosing, and if you try to avoid it, you're not ALLOWED to want to opt out without catching a bunch of shit from people with no imagination. It's not just the slop, it's that people will fight your right to dislike it
Nothing makes me feel more well adjusted than when I hear AI users talking about their "conversations" with software.
Daaaamn. “AI is the asbestos we're shovelling into the walls of our technological society. Our descendants will spend generations digging it out again, and the longer the bubble goes on without popping, the longer it will take to repair the damage." www.thenerve.news/p/cory-docto...
Cory Doctorow: The people who tell you ‘AI is changing everything’ are lying
It has become impossible to tell managers mesmerised by artificial intelligence that the tools are not, in fact, helpful. So employees just play along with the fiction to keep their jobs, writes our t...
