The problem with What Should We Have Done About COVID discourse is that it’s all Monday morning quarterbacking with the much better information we have now compared to then, and is about what we should have done now that we know instead of how we should have acted with imperfect information then

At some point we are going to have to reckon with what percentage of the Thought Leadership we get from this class of people is just drug addiction. Either a lot of credulous reporters have never listened to someone tooted out of their mind go on a monologue or they're afraid to call it out.

RFK Jr. is the most Everyone Is 12 Now person in politics today. He doesn’t care about health. He cares about not eating his vegetables because you can’t make him.

I think people are right to call out that dumb "nothing has gotten better in 40 years" post and to point out that a lot of things about air travel HAVE improved, but also leg room HAS gotten tighter, TSA screenings do suck and are 25 years old, and various airlines HAVE cut back on perks, etc.

I've seen a lot of things where people are like, "RFK is just promoting healthy eating," and it's amazing what branding can do, because as far as I've seen, the main dietary things that RFK has pushed are the importance of eating fast food fried in a particular animal fat and drinking raw milk.
