"What do you find appealing in the furry art?" This is a big post where I ask myself the question I generally ask furries a lot when I have the occasion. The alt texts gives more thoughts on the concepts I tried here. And you, how did you discover the fandom? Feel free to tell me if you want!

Honestly, I'm kind of proud of myself for this years art fight! I did 15 pieces, all of which???? somehow???? fully colored??? Hello???????? And I managed to do so in a way that DIDN'T burn me out! Somehow???? Just my normal dip if anything but absolutely nothing horrible.

Part 2: How can I make the glowing FX Myself? Follow along, I'm here to help! The technique I've developed is fairly simple, using blending modes, blur, and copying layers. I use CSP, but most softwares can do this. We'll use this reference pose as a base. Lets make him charge an energy blast.

Many folks have asked me about or shown interest in my retro anime style effects! Well I'm here to show how it's done! in the threads quoted I will A: Explain how older anime/cartoons made these effects, and B: Show how I do some of them myself! The threads will be linked in the replies too.

Part 1: Why older anime specifically? Doesn't modern stuff look fine? Older anime often had a very distinct look when it came to special effects that I REALLY like. The bright glowing parts were often still somewhat "transparent" such that they almost looked like actual masses of light and energy.
