I feel like it doesn't count when The Wayfarer Project was going to be a series from halfway through writing the first one but my favorite part is getting to know my characters better. I feel like I don't know shit until I write them to begin with and they get so much depth the more I do.

#SumLuv I think I have to say it's Twilight, which I borrowed from a friend. But! I would credit fanfiction as an introduction to romance. Before, romantic subplots in fantasy were what I read. Fanfic with a relationship focus was new.

The consideration Chione could not show and yet they could only stammer out assurance. “It-it won't matter if you accept Egled's grace. You'll- you will be in the light not the darkness.”
Cante sat higher. Surprise consumed his expression which fell very quickly once it was shadowed by the turn of his head. “Don't take this the wrong way, Stellarion, but I don't want to die.. I think I'd rather be reborn.”
A fierce force pierced Chione's heart straight through, as if their armor was made of mere paper. When left defenseless, they could only bite. “I think I'd rather you not speak heretically. I can change nothing but your mind.”
“You can change your own.” Cante retorted just as sharply. “But as you wish, Chione. I won't speak heretically in fear of angering my executioner.”

I like a meet cute, I love a meet ugly. Gimme the mess. Cante and Chione have my fav disaster meetings. In Illusory, Cante comes out the gate swinging flirtation as he tries to get a glimpse under Chione's helm, which is not well received. The situation further devolves but this bit is fun :))
