In my personal life I agree 100%. Don’t go to Thanksgiving, take care of yourself. But I’ve talked to too many Trump/Mamdani voters to believe this a waste of time while trying to win an election. I’d also point out that almost all of the Trump/Mamdani voters I met are not white.

But somehow Dems-- even and especially progressive ones!-- think they can win these folks over with a policy meeting or a Fox News appearance.

I was at coffee shops in Ridgewood today talking to people about the DSA slate and I met a surprising number of tourists. They were from as far away as Utah and South Carolina. It’s pretty neat there seeing parts of NYC most visitors don’t. Hope they had fun. ☕️
