Watched the 1991 “LBJ” tv doc on PBS last night and now thinking it’s increasingly likely we get something similar next cycle. Someone with popular progressive domestic policy who gets absolutely drowned in one of the many hornet nests that Trump has started and can’t recover.
I caught James McMurtry at the Tractor a few nights back. I've been a fan ever since 1989 when the college paper where I worked got a copy of his debut record. He came by his storytelling ability honestly; his dad was Larry McMurty. Here's one of the exceptional tracks from that first record.

Musk said people might still work in the future but compared it to people who grow their own backyard tomatoes. He said they could just go to the store for better tomatoes.
