hot take: we should stop linking C libraries in web apps. Running web apps in a container is not enough since the app can still access files and secrets in the environment. We should start running the unsafe C code in a kernel-level sandbox or wasm sandbox

Herdr (herdr.dev) is really, really good. I've switched to it right away from cmux, which I've been testing for about a few weeks, but have never gotten used to, after using Termina + tmux/screen for 20 years.

Combining the Prime Day sale with the Fire TV trade-in, Amazon Kindle Scribe Colorsoft is $416 + tax. Might be a good deal. The question is whether I use this device, and if so is it at a desk or a bed (to replace the current Kindle Oasis from 2019). 11" is a pretty big size for a bedside reader

Bought Profitec MOVE a few weeks ago. So far so good except steaming milk has been frustratingly difficult. Asked @nh7a.bsky.social for an advice, and he suggested to upgrade to a 4-hole tip from 2-hole, and voila it made a huge difference. Got a soft microfoam in the first try.
