I'm 95% convinced the problem with making a new Blade movie is that they can't fit him into the wider MCU, they no longer just make superhero movies any more, it all has to be part of some bigger cinematic universe and continuity, so it can't be a story about Blade killing vampires with a sword.

At this point Kevin Feige needs to release a documentary on why they can’t figure out Blade so we as the audience can understand cause the constant “we just can’t get it right” is bs.
