For a little unintentional comic relief from the news… read a NY Times column on exercise. Made sense. Then I notice > 1.3k comments. Huh? Here’s one that belongs in the hall of fame. Dog walkers are a dedicated bunch!

NYT reader comment: While I was reading this article, it occurred to me that at age 84, I have longevity. I still take tub baths. I can sit down unaided, but have to hold onto the side of the tub with both hands to get up. One day last week, I awoke at around 6 AM to find my 90 year old husband on the floor next to the bed. I can't help him up because he weighs too much. So, I went to walk the dog. When I returned, he was back in the bed. So, he can get himself up to, but he has to pull himself up by holding on to
something. Reports from two with longevity.

The new Buffalo Bills alternate uniform... I'm at a loss for words. The Cyber Truck of uniforms. Is it too late for someone to bury them all somewhere deep to be forgotten?

The Trump-Vance administration is suing the Catholic Church to build a border wall beneath a statue of Jesus Christ — weeks after Pope Leo XIV stood at a migrant landing dock and defended the people the wall is meant to keep out.

“Nothing Could Be Less Catholic” — Trump Is Suing the Church to Remove Shrine for Border Wall

Rep. Veronica Escobar’s Mount Cristo Rey Protection Act would halt the federal seizure of 14 acres of diocesan land beneath a 29-foot statue of Jesus.

Kristen Clarke, former assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division at the DOJ: By not investigating these ICE cases, you’re sending a message to ICE officers that it doesn’t matter. I think it is fair to say that Todd Blanche is the most unqualified nominee we have seen in recent times.

Mary Magdalene finds the tomb open before sunrise. She mistakes a man for the gardener — until he says her name. He gives her a job: go tell my brothers. From the garden to the upper room, the Christian faith belonged to one woman. Not even Peter had it yet. She was the church at its birth.

“Run Like Mary Magdalene” — Pope Leo XIV’s Vision for Women in the Church

Gregory the Great turned her into a prostitute with one sermon. Fourteen centuries later, Pope Francis handed her an apostle’s feast — and from what I heard in Rome, Leo is only getting started.
