As a prof, you spend a lot of time telling students the same thing, and a lot of time peer reviewing articles and saying the same thing, and that thing is move past the claim, make clear what your argument actually is, what evidence supports it, and how. Moderate dems should do this.

Finally finding time to read this & it doesn’t disappoint! Getting much out of Devin Singh’s chapter on how loose use of the word *debt* can “colonize our imaginations” to view a range of interactions through this “master category,” even when no return is owed (e.g., a parent’s love)

The son of the man shot and killed by ICE: I am Ronaldo Salgado, the oldest son of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. He should've been picking up the last of his guys before heading to finish up construction. Unbeknownst to all of us, my dad had been shot inside his van by ICE agents in unmarked cars.
