Here's the thing about the rom com where you're only allowed to have sex one night of the year. I saw the trailer when I saw the Odyssey and it was extremely clear that the trailer hated the premise. It came up like once. Bodes well.

I always think that so many kids want to be influencers because it's obvious to them that every normal job has either been destroyed or is going to be destroyed while the conditions of labor get worse and worse and middle class salaries buy less and less. So it's pretty rational, in my view!

I think the Michigan primary does show that both candidates are kind of weak relative to what you would expect, Stevens because she's so strange and El-Sayed in part because of so much Islamophobia. But, for me, I don't do debates about electability because the NOTION of doing something about it
I appreciate a lot of what they're trying to do, but every time they email me for money I email back to say I won't donate any until they say what they're going to do about the state supreme court which overturned the referendum. And I'm sure they don't care when it's one guy doing it but
Poetry is often highly symbolic, evoking ideas through vivid imagery and emotional metaphor. In "This Is Just To Say", the plums that the speaker refers to are actually a metaphor for some pears he ate, the icebox represents the bowl they were in, and breakfast stands in for an afternoon snack.

The other thing I've learned is that it's essentially meaningless to do this across universities anyway. At my university, RS grads do perfectly well because it's a well-ranked university with a well-regarded humanities program. Because it doesn't matter that much what you major in anyway.

This is something I've been gnashing my teeth about for a decade. Moderates want to have the argument "who can win an election." They treat having the votes as a solution in and of itself. The last ten years have produced example after example of why that isn't true.

Thinking of experimenting with one of my classes this semester where there's just one reading a week. It's hard to give up so many beloved, useful readings but with declining reading ability and the specter of AI everywhere, focusing more attention on what we do in the classroom makes sense
Will they also eventually move to a mall? Perhaps Northpark?
