OK. Tariff corner. Today, the first Trump tariffs came into force for EU & UK goods. First up: steel. As of March 12 steel articles (defined in Proclamation 9705) are subject to a 25% tariff. So are derivative steel articles (defined in Proclamation 9980). /1

My new article, titled ‘GDPR fines: methodology, proportionality and the pursuit of effectiveness’, is now published in European Law Review. It examines, and criticises, the European Data Protection Board's methodology for calculating fines under the GDPR.
