Maybe no one should listen to me, as I just now recalled earnestly arguing in 2004 that Coldplay was basically U2 but good.

*Stevens gets one vote* Politico: Well, looks like Americans don't have the stomach for Medicare for All.
Looks like we didn’t have to wait until November for these takes to start coming out. The point of all that SuperPAC spending was not to have Stevens lose by single instead of double digits. It was to have her win. And it failed.
Cue November: “He won.” “But if he had moderated on Palestine, he would have won by more!”
The person who said “far-right” for all the politicians in that YouGov poll? It was me.

I guess we have to wonder about whether the humanities and social sciences are too political now that we’ve seen with NSF and NIH that there are no hard or health sciences without politics.
Noted Gooner @conradforharlem.bsky.social took time from campaigning for Assembly to look longingly at my @theextrainch.bsky.social European Champions shirt. There’s always next year!
What's this tell us? Bluesky is a far healthier and more effective platform for engaging and organizing your supporters online than X and Threads. By a lot. No algorithm suppressing left politics. No billionaire influence. Good content reaching the right people.
I believe I ran the first Bluesky-first congressional campaign in the country. Some folks thought I was nuts. But it was absolutely the best move. Bluesky has better fundraising metrics and engagement for candidates, and the site isn’t overrun with Nazis. Take note. youtu.be/XOfkMBMpw3s?...

I've worked in Democratic digital comms for a long time and pay attention to campaign metrics across platforms. Increasingly I'm seeing Dems who crosspost on X, Bluesky, and Threads get better engagement on Bluesky even with far fewer followers. Here's @jamestalarico.bsky.social's clip last night:
“Bluesky-first” is an amazing position I wish all campaigns including @darializaforny.bsky.social would adopt. There is no reason to launch your takes in an AI sewer
We tried a lot of new shit in our race from feeding thousands to live-streaming instead of calltime to not poll-testing positions to being a Bluesky-first campaign. We pressured our opponents to change positions, alter digital strategy, and even come on this site! 4/5

I am HONORED to be endorsed by @chrisrabb.com! He's already shown what a people-powered campaign can do in Philly, and we intend to do the same thing here Uptown & in the Bronx. The vision is clear!
About 40 people canvassed for Darializa just in Morningside Heights today. You can literally feel the momentum.
It’s always our fault (from today’s axios story on accidentally spending half a bil on ai)
I am thrilled to have the endorsement of @mayor.nyc.gov Last year, I canvassed Uptown & the Bronx in support of candidate Mamdani's affordability agenda. Today Mayor Mamdani is endorsing our campaign to bring that affordability agenda from Washington Heights to Washington, DC. Nos fuimosssss🏎️🌬️
