Hot mess in his 30s | KY and GA FGC | Support Main in every game He/Him :^)

And my very first time hearing the therm furry was when I played as Jon Talbain and a guy in my classroom said it, then we played Bloody roar and he said it again (random Talbain gif here <3) French for furry is Poilu also by the way, not sure many of you will use that but at least you know now!

July 23 1998, Rakugakids debuted on the N64 in Japan! This hyper stylish fighter is an interesting combo of 2D gameplay layered on top of 3D backgrounds! And in a classic Konami move, a portion of this game's roster makes a cameo in another N64 game, Goemon Mononoke Sugoroku!

a worrying trend I keep hearing from ppl who want to sound smart when they talk about old games and it happens with fighting games way too often is ppl saying "nobody knew how to make games yet" as if there were no traceable dna of every solid mechanic and design they believe to have value

Always fun to hear folks say that Sonic 1 is an unplayable shitty ass game or whatever because the implication seems to be that its popularity at the time is from an entire generation of video game players that had no idea what they were doing. Also seems to mostly be Sonic fans saying this.

It's okay Egypt, as a fighting game player I know all too well the feeling of being up 2-0 then throwing it all away
