She could think of no other reason; Halmarut did not make a habit of spending time with the upper echelons of their newly formed convocation, nor did the unsundered seem to pay their fractured colleagues as much mind. She did not begrudge them this. She must be a painful reminder to look upon. Though her own memories of the past had been restored, still were they but shards of who they had once been. …Nevermind that thought, actually. I’m rambling.
There were a million things going on in that moment; I could have focused on anything else. I don’t know why, but what stuck out to me was her dress. Pure white, like the sin eaters she felled one after the other.

The previous one wore white, too. It’s been a while, but the sight made me remember that detail for some inexplicable reason. I don’t know why she dresses all in white, when she could easily have her pick of attire to go to battle in. Tradition? Superstition? Marking herself as what she is?

I used to think it suited the previous Minfilia, but now… now it looks like a funeral shroud. I can’t shake the feeling. I hope she lives a longer life than her predecessor, but I know all too well what fate awaits her.”

The stars are gone.

Stolen from us along with everything else, everyone I once knew. All wiped away under a blinding wave of Light. A river swollen with rain, it broke the dam and swept away the unsuspecting village below. All that remains is a landscape forever changed, and even the sky cannot offer you its consolation.

A word of caution, Keeper of the Key. Be wary, for fate’s regard now falls upon you.

The hum of electrope buzzed in the corners of the Backroom’s resting chamber. Nayra lay on her borrowed bed, eyes awake and refusing sleep. She would like to blame the constant vibration of electricity, or the cold air blowing out of the central vent, for her inability to rest as G’raha had insisted. She had never gotten used to it all. Every time she made the trip to Solution Nine, the most sleep she would get are short bursts of slumber beneath layers of blanket while propped over the couch.

Letting out a soft disgruntled noise, she turned to her side and burrowed herself deeper into her blanket. But now the light was on her eyes, and with it the interdimensional key stading atop the bedside table.

Miayli’s words once again echoed in her mind. Quite the cryptic warning, and not the first Nayra had ever heard.

There was an immensity to that knowledge, a weight on the scales of her mind while in her heart she felt only inevitability. Of course she was upon the Thirteenth, that deep and ancient voice within her whispered; it was where she wished to go.

The key— Ethos— sat inert in her grip, even as the voices still rang in her ears. It felt heavier, though perhaps it was only her imagination for its shape and size had not changed at all. Eury remained silent still, ever elusive on the matter, even when its connection to them was unmistakable. Ciardha had been certain of this long before it was their stone that called forth Ethos' light.

More info on the Rabies incident in North Carolina! The mobile petting zoo held 11 events across 7 different counties after the goats were exposed. This covers about 200 miles of densely populated areas of North Carolina. PLEASE CALL your Health Department ASAP!

This is the list of all the counties the mobile zoos went to in North Carolina! Again, rabies is serious and action must be taken quickly!

If you're in North Carolina and went to the Farm's Adventures petting zoo, please make sure you get the vaccine for rabies. They also have a mobile petting zoo, so yeah be careful. From what I know, once you start showing symptoms of rabies, it's too late. >< www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...

In the wake of an apocalypse born of the very thing we were told would save us, Norvrandt's own most prominent faith fell as well. Less than two centuries hence, there are none remaining who would truly avow belief in the Church of the First Light, though their temples and relics still lay scattered across our country. But faith, like life, is ever shifting and changing in a desperate bid to survive. From the despair brought by Light came the figure known across our nation as the Warrior of Darkness.

The purpose of this paper is to examine current folklore and rites regarding the Warrior of Darkness and his, her, or their identity. In particular I will be focusing on the belief that the Warrior was a single, very real person who took an active role in returning Night to our star, and the ways this belief manifests across our beautifully diverse country.
