Watching the neighborhood blogs blow up at the idea that the Russian plague is the "real" pandemic we need to be scared of and I'm just going to start throwing shoes. Millions of people SHOE died from covid SHOE you back alley SHOE squidsquishers SHOE SHOE SHOE

SHE DID IT AGAIN. Teacher used JKR as a positive example, & I pointed out what that person uses her $ for (harming the trans community) & she started reading the comment out loud & stopped. I pointed out that there are lots of other examples of a successful person that can be used. She ignored it.

Company status report, please take time to read. Once again, I've been shouldering all this by myself to a breaking point, but unlike previous times we've been in hot water (lol), we have a clear path to stability with concrete actionable items. So there's that! www.fridaytea.com/blogs/friday...

Hello, beautiful teahearts. Let's chat. It's no secret that your fave indies have been going through it these last few years. We've seen a ton of our fellow small businesses do everything right, work ...

Oh Christ, someone in my class just used the current US president as a positive example of a leader. I couldn't stay quiet. They called him responsible. I said "Responsible...? I can't agree" Lordy beans.

GOOD NEWS! Researchers have discovered a new antibiotic, known as manikomycin, that may be a bulwark in the fight against drug-resistant superbugs. By attacking the ribosome in a never-before-seen way, manikomycin can evade the existing mechanisms pathogens have developed to resist antibiotics.

Win for today: in the effort to do "if it takes 5 minutes or less do it now", I emptied the trash before class. Task initiation is something I struggle with, so I must celebrate the wins! #adhd

I just learned a really useful response to when you don't know what to say when someone tells you of their suffering: “I don’t even know what to say right now, I’m just glad that you told me.”

I highly recommend telling people the lovely, small, everyday ways in which they have impacted you. I’m going to practice more of this myself. It really does enrich the social fabric of the world. ☕️❤️

Today I toasted a protein bagel for breakfast put some neufchatel cheese on it, then sprinkled garlic salt, an "Asian" red pepper flakes blend, and partially crystallized honey on top. Highly recommend. Very tasty.

May I remind everyone that there is currently NO cure for rabies. May I also remind everyone there is absolutely NO scientific proof connecting ANY vaccine that we produce today with autism. This is true regarding vaccination in both humans AND in dogs. Vaccinate your pets please.

Worries about vaccination rates in dogs
As rabies seems to be spreading more in wildlife, veterinarians are especially worried about vaccine hesitancy spreading among pet owners, a dangerous trend that could lead to more dogs - and their owners
- becoming infected. A 2023 study published in the journal Vaccine found in nationally representative
sample of Americans that nearly 40% believed canine vaccines were unsafe and 37% believed that vaccines could lead their dogs to develop cognitive issues, such as autism.

Listening to FAWNING by Dr. Ingrid Clayton. A thread: Fffff being conscious of problems doesn't automatically solve them. Sucks! (point made by the book) OUCH "helping people heal their wounds as if that would heal my own" More to come.

Goddamnit, a fraudulent version of The Ordinary's website fooled me just long enough for me to enter my payment information into it. *sigh* I've already deactivated the card and reported it stolen, but it goes to show that even someone who knows to check can forget or not notice something. Be safe!
