Updated numbers here: Burnham bounce still basically entirely coming from clawing back voters Labour had lost to Greens, Lib Dems and Plaid/SNP. In addition, Burnham now winning 10% of Green 2024 voters - double that from June.

So far, it's largely Labour 2024 voters returning to Labour - mostly those 'progressive defectors' who had previously switched to the Greens. Based on 5 polls with headline VI since 20th July (MiC, Delta, YG, Survation).

I've now remedied this by reading "All Them Dogs" which I thought was actually really brilliant. Not something I'd normally pick up but so so gripping and quite affecting.

think this is a bad opinion anyway but might as well do further odyssey-posting and add that i think himesh patel does a huge amount of the lifting re, the morality of the crew and their relationship with odysseus which is obviously pretty central, particularly considering the overall conceit

I read Headshot (good), Safekeep (fine), My Friends (fine), Orbital (woated), Enlightenment (didn't finish) and Held (very good) but CL was just the total stand out to me. She was robbed!

Saw the Odyssey. Thought it was very good but that it could have been improved by putting Oscar Isaac, Rebecca Ferguson and Timothee Chalomet in the central roles
Thankfully all the art I have ever enjoyed was made by people who were 100% fine and normal for their entire lives and when it turned out they weren't I pretended I never liked it to begin with

i feel like this lighthearted rom com will not explore the deeply disturbing systems which must exist in-world to enable this premise
