#EdPsychs Does anyone have recommendations for bead sets to use in ‘Beads of Life’ sessions? Looking for a set with a variety 😊
This is a really important thematic review being carried out by Ofsted. Good to see that the voices of children and their families are also being captured, in addition to education professionals.
#Ofsted inspectors will speak to schools and families this spring to find out why children with SEND are not in schools and how their needs are being met

The story of Mud Boy is a 10 minute read. It helps children to understand what bullying is, how it might feel to be bullied, and the importance of telling someone if it happens. There are some great read-throughs on YouTube. This one is particularly good… youtu.be/AtG0ZBWKGGY?...

Becoming an AsEP at 24 came with a lot of feelings, especially imposter syndrome. Now 25 and applying for the doctorate I feel a lot more confident in myself. I really resonate with the younger generation. Like Licia, I see my age as a strength in my practice! #edpsychs ✨
Licia Hitching was 22 and Kelly Allison was 45 when they began their Assistant Psychologist journeys. They reflect on the role age plays in their professional practice. www.bps.org.uk/psychologist...
Ideas to support ‘mental health’ are often based on the that it is something completely internal and ‘within’ a person only. Yet, the reality is that we don’t exist separately from a context around us and our experiences of that. We can’t separate ourselves from this. They shape things for us. 1/4
Love this! 💭
Whenever I can’t put my thumb on a feeling I use this wheel introduced to me by @techyouverymuch.bsky.social She also introduced me to the idea of your circle of control—and I have focused on that the past couple weeks. What is in your control? How can you improve the world from your position?
Neurodiversity affirming language is SO important - I read so many referral forms which describe traits with an unintentionally problematic lens. LANGUAGE IS EVERYTHING!
For all the fabulous new people here, we at @edpsy.bsky.social created a starter pack for EPs - some fantastic people and accounts to follow there (not all EPs either). Follow here: go.bsky.app/CLMja54 #edusky #edpsychs
#edpsychs does anyone know of any research regarding YP who were home educated returning back into education? Thanks 😊

Attended a powerful learning event today, discussing permanent exclusions within the North East & LA, and how we can all drive change moving forward. We had the opportunity to share our team's research exploring Y7 PEXs 🙌🏼 #edpsychs
There is so much emphasis on assessments & therapies by external agencies. Everyday relationships have the power to create safety and support regulation. It costs nothing to be kind, playful, accepting, curious, empathetic, predictable, flexible & proactive. #FlipTheNarrative #EdPsychs
