I really don't like point cluster maps*, but am making a slippy map that's for something where multiple points at the same location should be visible. Here's one solution (offsetting the points equidistant from the origin), curious how folks feel about it.

Maddening given how much commercial real estate there is out there. Every time I drive cross country I pass dozens of small towns that are hollowed out that could be filled with someone's ambition.

People like cute, handmade stuff. That was the whole point. In person retail is looking better and better. The biggest catch I see is that there is not enough commercial real estate (at reasonable prices) to support the goods and services that folks want.

I'll bite on this – it's good manners. Makes sure if the map travels people know who and what created it. Same reason folks throw a byline on most news maps, company logo, and cite sources on the maps themselves. Accountability in the chance it's found somewhere other than your blog.

I'm ok with Instagram eating Snapchat's lunch and the ease at which you can share pictures there, but every time I interact with their linking-out policies I just want to delete the whole thing. Absolutely asinine roadblocks intentionally designed for inconvenience.

Anecdotally, it's been fascinating fighting for parking for my 2013 stationwagon and noticing how dang small it is compared to modern trucks that are built like tanks. Seven seats, tons of room, and easily 2/3 the size.

We also sourced pickups from the 90s and used a LiDAR scanner to create 3D models so we could compare their blindzones to those of more recent trucks. In some of the most popular trucks, like the Chevy Silverado, blindzones had doubled in size.
