The only correct way to end the school year: Baik lab KBBQ + lawn games!! Featuring lettuce grown in my garden solely for this purpose. *Not pictured: delicious ceviche, strawberry shortcake, and hwachae dessert that lab members brought

The scientific dad (my PhD advisor) paid a little visit with his family during picnic day! It’s worth pointing out that his daughter standing next to me was only six years old and MUCH shorter when I first started in his lab as a grad student 😅

Happy 6-yr anniversary, Carlson lab! 🥹 It has been the best 6 years of my scientific career and I’m going to miss them so dearly when I leave 😭 The best career advice I can give to the young scientists: find a mentor, mentees, and lab that you love. It makes science so much more worth it.
