Today was nice. Met some kittens, went on a 5 mile hike. Saw a fence lizard, a checkerspot butterfly, and a huge bird with a yellow tail that looked like an oropendola-- but there's no way, right??? Not in California. It was too fast for a photo.

Wife and I do everything together, but today I went for a walk alone to escape chainsaws and she's at work. I forgot how fast I walk when alone. My legs feel like jelly.
