When people say they’re anti-AI, they’re clearly talking about generative AI in the arts and LLM slop that C-Suite jackoffs want to use to replace them. You know this. I know this. Everyone knows this. So the “then don’t use spellcheck if you hate AI” talking point is disingenuous horseshit.
I think we can go back, and I won’t have to be so nostalgic, but in the meantime I just wanted to say the time spent not using AI tools isn’t wasted, it’s remembered fondly by me. Ok thanks for reading! 💐
I feel sad I can’t make other people understand what I find endearing about unpolished things and human fumbling. I feel like people gave up so much it can’t even be properly accounted for, and for what?
When I think about AI (all the time everyday), I mostly feel extreme anger and buried under that, extreme sadness. I don’t think I have anything particularly new to say on this topic, I just wanted to try to reframe it for myself.
It is important to keep this in circulation

Either you think bodyshaming is wrong because it's a fundamentally flawed way of criticizing other people, or you are *pretending* to feel that way so you can sound more progressive than you really are.

It's pretty simple... If you use AI to create art, then you're not an artist. If you use AI to write, then you're not a writer. If you use AI to make music, then you're not a musician. If you use AI to animate, then you're not an animator. If you use AI to make films, then you're not a filmmaker.
