Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the 199 backers who made the ABANDONED: ASYLUM campaign a success and to those who spread the word. You did more than you know to help make this book and all the extras truly special. Enjoy this break from the fireose of posts I've been sharing. Updates soon!

ONLY SIX HOURS LEFT! As of midnight EST, ABANDONED: ASYLUM has 199 absolutely awesome backers. The support has been truly inspiring and humbling. There is still time to back this and snag the limited, full-color hardcover edition, time to reserve your room in these haunted and abandoned halls...

ABANDONED: ASYLUM has 170 backers and more folks than I can count helping spread the word. I'm overwhelmed by all the support. We have only 66 hours left to cross the finish line. If you're thinking of backing us, now is the time. I dropped by Building 93... there were bugs.... so many bugs....

Feels weird to quote post myself, but want to bring this campaign back up in your feed. Abandoned: Asylum, a horror anthology from @rdspress.bsky.social . They’re about 2/3 of the way toward their goal with 5 days to go…

As a big fan of asylum horror & indie publishers, I’m excited @rdspress.bsky.social has a new anthology up on Kickstarter. They’re halfway to their goal with a few days to go. I’m in. Pledge what you can, if you are too. Abandoned: Asylum, a horror anthology www.kickstarter.com/projects/902...

Saw this caption on a Reddit photo: "The James Webb telescope took this wide view photo of Uranus featuring six of its 27 moons" and decided not to read the comments. I stand by my choice.

This freaking "winter" weather. It has been like 50F on Long Island with constant overcast and the humidity equivalent of walking through someone else's cold sweat for the last week. Finally, today, sunshine! But I'd still like it a little cooler too. LOL!😜

Thanks to @alpbeck.bsky.social for this series of vintage reads posts for @hwany.bsky.social! THE OTHER by Thomas Tryon is a masterpiece of dark lit. Beautiful prose, psychological twists, some of the darkest scenes I've ever read. Belongs in the top 10 of 20th century horror classics.

We're starting a new #FEED today. Mentions of influential vintage reads that #Horror fans & #writers should know. Today's book is from our own James Chambers @mothman13.bsky.social THE OTHER by Thomas Tryon, pub. by Alfred A. Knopf (1971) Follow #VintageHorrorBooks en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Oth...

Writer's life Upside: Reading a friend's great novel before it's published. :) Downside: Years passing before a terrific publisher buys it. :( Upside: Excitement and happiness that the rest of the world will now read your friend's awesome novel! :) Can't tag the author just yet...

...and out of stock! Wow, the Deluxe Signed Lettered Edition of A BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL ETERNAL WORLD appears to have sold out. Thank you so much if you preordered a copy! This means the Numbered Signed Edition will be up for preorder soon, I do believe.

Caught MULHOLLAND DRIVE at a local arts cinema this week. 35mm projection of a scratchy print probably 20 years old. 45 minutes in the film broke, and the projectionist screened the last reel out of focus. Somehow this only made it all the more "Lynchian" and enjoyable.

My cosmic horror collection, coming soon from Weird House Press. Art by KL Turner. “James Chambers conjures literary magic! A BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL ETERNAL WORLD is a wonderfully strange collection of short fiction...” --Jonathan Maberry, NY Times bestselling author of CAVE 13 and NECROTEK
