i think nascar really shot themselves in the foot geographically speaking by making atlanta a superspeedway. now their only viable options for opening the season are two superspeedways in a row or going straight from daytona to the west coast swing

But I will say that I think “this may not be an easily fixable problem” is probably a better line here than being completely dismissive of concerns about long-term imbalance given I think the Dodgers median win projection is tracking to be 100+ deep into the 2030s
