Okay, so as a confused Brit here, what's the deal with Mitch McConnell? If he is dead, or brain dead, or unable to fulfill his term, and this is a cover-up, who's covering up and who gains from it? Dems? Republicans? Genuinely curious.

I agree with this, but the problem isn't they're forgotten. They're not. Every writer pitches these as they're told "don't pitch the main guys we know those" and so ALL of these are pitched repeatedly. DC just don't care enough.
DC has a ton of solid but forgotten B-list characters. Characters that have potential outside of comics. And yes, that's where a lot of characters from marginalized groups are hitting a glass ceiling, but even characters like Animal Man can be slotted here.
So... it's just hit The Bookseller - I have a new cozy series called The Moriarty & Co Mysteries, that'll be published by Simon & Schuster's new imprint, Simon Streams - and hitting Amazon / bookstores later this year. 🙂 www.thebookseller.com/news/simon-s...

It's really weird. For the last 10 years, I've not been going to San Diego for Comic Con, mainly because it usually conflicts with the London Film and Comic Con, which I've been organizing. However, this year, with no Comic Con in London, I could have gone - but I'm not going to be there. 🧵
as much as I always got on with CB when I worked for Marvel, Stephen Wacker was one of the few people who went to bat for me on my Spider-Man stories. I am more than happy to see him succeeding, and no, that isn't me looking to pitch him anytime soon! www.marvel.com/articles/com...

My goodness, Paddy O'Connell comes across as a proper prick here. From the start calling Count Binface by the wrong name — ‘Bin’ — twice when asked not to. And then trying some sort of weird gotcha exposé on him mid interview. #newsnight
Farage thought he was being clever, pushing the "People of Clacton vs the Establishment" button without realising: 1. As a multi-millionaire with many houses, he *is* the establishment. 2. He's now put himself into a situation where he's going up against Count Binface & Lozza Fox, and could lose.
What we need now is one of the TV stations to host a debate, Farage to refuse to attend and @countbinface.bsky.social to empty chair him.
We can today announced a new partnership with Fibrely who become the club’s new front-of-shirt partner. The broadband and mobile provider’s brand will take pride of place alongside Wednesday’s iconic new crest and Umbro’s famed double diamond.
I first found David's work in Savage Avengers and absolutely loved it. His Spencer and Locke is also utterly genius, so this was an absolute no-brainer. I've pledged. Why haven't you?

For those emailing, yes, it was announced at the Herne's Arrow Robin of Sherwood convention this weekend past that I am returning to the world of RoS as part of a new series of continuing canon novels, set ten years after the finale, based on stories that were discussed with Kip Carpenter. 1/2

Streeting is the worst possible choice at the worse possible time. Also... I'd be curious to see if Al Carns throws his hat into the ring.
Beautiful TL synergy
However you dice it, it’s been a great night for Thai-based cryptocurrency billionaires & Vladimir Putin - who, incredibly, is currently getting more good news from the UK than Ukraine.
THIS. THIS. ABSO-F*****G-LUTELY THIS. I became a 300% better comic writer the day I lettered a comic. You realise how much you screwed EVERYTHING up and you learn. Since then I've lettered 90% of my creator owned comics.
This just reminded me that one of the best bits of advice (and frankly, I think it should be required) is that editors and writers should take a lettering class, & maybe even letter their own work in that class. I think seeing the issues will create more understanding and empathy to the situations.
In December I sent out a newsletter that said "2026 is going to be an insane year." This month I've had two completely unexpected calls that have utterly changed my game plan for 2026 - for the better. 2020: I bet on myself. 2026: it's massively paying off. Why aren't YOU betting on YOURSELF?
In 2021, my accountant suggested that I should put money into gold, as it'd go up more than ISAs etc. At the time it was about $1800 an oz. A "financial expert" friend said they were talking BS. I ignored them. Today gold broke $5k an oz. And, I believe by EOY it'll be $10k. It's not too late.
Well this is a nice way to end the year - right now, HIS DEAD MAN'S HAND is 12 in the Amazon "British Detectives" charts, and apparently is a Richard Osman sandwich! mybook.to/hisdeadmanshand
