Boston/MA isn’t interested in any more trades with Philadelphia right now…
Cape Verdeans are now honorary Philadelphians because that was basically ROCKY. They weren't "supposed" to be there, much less going the distance with the champions and the GOAT, who had to give it everything they've got just to eek out a win in overtime. Bravo.
They call the birthplace of Rocky Marciano the 11th island. They don’t need Philly.

Once again I must ask when Vozinha is getting a street named after him in Brockton
And now Vozinha robs Messi from point-blank range. We're going to live forever.
This Cape Verde World Cup run is a top 10 moment in Boston sports history this century.
We also count the entire city of Brockton!!
Cape Verde has the population of Tucson Arizona
Finding our Pop Base didn’t take AP English … gutting

Between Cape Verde's valiant effort and AJ Dybantsa potentially going #1 overall in the NBA Draft this is a huge summer for Brockton, Massachusetts.

It’s sad when you find out people didn’t watch or understand Mad Men
If you're old enough to remember this commercial—you knew that its purpose was more than just selling Coca-Cola. The message is powerful and beautiful at the same time. 🥹☮️🕊 #ProudBlue #ResistanceUnited #USDemocracy #Voices4Victory 🌎🌏🌍✊🏻✊️✊🏾✊🏿🪶🌈✡️ *sound up🔊
Bc it’s also a piece about the woman who “created Tilly”
I know this is not the point. But why in the world would one need to fly to London to interview a laptop over zoom? This whole thing is just such a farce. I am far more offended by the notion of a journalist pretending to interview an AI creation than the AI creation. This is farcical to me.
I think we’ve done enough reporting on why people didn’t want to spend money to see Meghan Trainor or The Pussycat Dolls in 2026.
Girl dinner tried but then people got weird about it :(
The options are not actually carefully crafting an elaborate from-scratch meal or ordering delivery. This discourse always leaves out the lazy at-home options. Cereal, bagged salads, canned soup, frozen pizza, sandwiches, yogurt, cheese and crackers, 80% of what trader joes sells, et cetera
Alien Ant Farm’s cover of Smooth Criminal
had a debate last night about the definitive millennial song. some contenders: mgmt’s “kids,” yeah yeah yeah’s “maps,” kanye’s “all of the lights,” arcade fire’s “wake up,” postal service’s “such great heights,” animal collective’s “my girls,” lcd soundsystem’s “all my friends,” stroke’s “last nite”

i don't think believing this makes someone an evil person BUT all evil people believe this
He was right on this BTW. People get incredibly neurotic about missing flights because they've never missed one. Once it's happened to you (assuming you're not travelling with kids) it's annoying but fine and you start leaving/wasting less time at airports.
I’m not going to defend Lena Dunham but I will defend that line bc the character says it literally high on opium. We weren’t supposed to take it seriously!
so that was a fictional character she was playing as part of a work of fiction believe it or not
I do think part of why this bubbles up with The Pitt is the show can be very good versus evil, the ER against the world. It gives your moral lessons like seven times an episode. It’s THEE show to lib out with.
A very astute (and upsetting!) piece that touches on four scary cultural trends: 1) The demand for spelled-out moral clarity in stories 2) A growing inability to understand different types of narratives 3) The "customer's always right" version of fandom 4) The growth of fandom as a social identity.
