A lot of shows will talk about “fixed points” in time, essentially to prevent the characters from strategically or logistically deploying time travel to dismantle the crisis the story is about.

Went to Washington Square yesterday for the May Day rally. Lots of unions and socialist groups, which were great to see. Unfortunately, they had very boring signs. Are there no graphic artist unions? Design was one of ACT-UP’s best features. That, and working to end AIDS and homophobia.
Every day, there are fewer people older than me. I realized this a few months ago and thought I was being quite profound. And then I thought, “This has been true since birth.”
