Gerrymandering lets politicians choose their voters instead of the other way around. Until we end that, it will remain difficult to achieve the things most Americans already agree on.
TX citizens have never been given the opportunity to vote on legalizing weed. Certain communities have decriminalized small amounts. Gov Hot wheels has been very clear, no smoking pot on his watch. Not sure the basis for this post. Medical gummies are legal, with prescription.

Texans from across the state came to Austin for one reason: to stop the 765 kV transmission lines. Texans shouldn't lose their land or pay higher electricity bills while powerful interests build infrastructure for the next wave of AI data centers.
I want children to know what it feels like to catch tadpoles in a stream,climb a tree,hear frogs after the rain and watch butterflies drift across a meadow. I want more parks, more hiking trails, more protected wilderness and more places where nature is left alone simply because it deserves to exist

True for older people too. I found out this week my body cannot handle a heat index of 119°. BP went to 187/100. The only symptoms of heat stress were flushed face & excessive sweating. So, I have change the way I work outside.
